      Orchestra of St. Luke’s Bach Festival Presents: Bach Cello Suites with Pieter Wispelwey Tuesday, June 9 6:30 PM Free JS BACH Cello Suites Nos. 1, 3, and 5 Among the most iconic classical music compositions, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cello Suites are intimate, transcendent and technically demanding. Each performance is as unique and deeply personal as the artists. Dutch cello virtuoso Pieter Wispelwey has mastered these suites and recorded them multiple times throughout his career. Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear him perform select cello suites to launch the 2020 edition of Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) annual Bach Festival. The 2020 OSL Bach Festival (June 9-30), OSL's city-wide celebration of J.S. Bach's music, includes three Thursday evening concerts with the Orchestra led by Principal Conductor Bernard Labadie at Carnegie Hall as well as performances at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music and Manhattan School of Music.
